How to sign in
The Sign In page appears when you select the sign-in link or button from the application you want to access. Optum GovID authenticates you as a user of one or more applications.

Why am I asked for more information?
There are several scenarios in which you might be asked to provide more information. Examples include:
- Share my Optum GovID– If this is the first time you have accessed this application using your Optum GovID, you may see a screen asking for your consent to share information from your Optum GovID profile with the organization providing the application.
- Sign in: Verify your identity– Some service providers require a second factor of authentication to grant access to their applications.
- Unrecognized device– The first time you sign in from a new device, you may be asked for verification.
